The Parshuram temple of Rajasthan is located in the Pali district of the state. This famous temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva or Mahadev. There is an ancient cave here which has to be reached down through the 500 stairs leading to the cave. The temple also offers an amazing view from the top of the Aravalli hills and gives you a small trekking experience while reaching the temple gates. This place is considered one of the best in Kumbhalgarh forest which is not only a religious spot but also has a beautiful surroundings to offer to the visitors. You will also get to know many stories of the past related to this place from the priests of the temple including the various formations known as the Kamdhenu. In the temple you will also notice the Idol of Lord Ganesh and nine kunds which never dry out and are considered pious and holy. You can also visit the Kumbhalgarh fort from here which is located near to the temple.
History of the Attraction
It is believed that saint Parshuram who is said to be the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu had built a cave with his axe and worshipped Lord Shiva in the foothills of the Aravalli Mountain. After this, the Parshuram temple was built on the top of the hills which we see even today.
